 Raw material preparation: pre-treat the wood (such as logs, branches, etc.), such as cutting into blocks of appropriate size for better carbonization.

Heating process: put the pre-treated wood into the carbonization furnace and provide heat through the heating system (such as burner, resistance heater, etc.). The wood begins to thermally decompose at high temperature, producing volatile gases and tar and other substances.

Carbonization process: as the temperature rises, the moisture in the wood gradually evaporates, followed by the decomposition and volatilization of lignin. Under the condition of isolating the air or letting in a small amount of air, the main solid product produced by the pyrolysis of wood is charcoal. Charcoal is mainly composed of carbon elements, retaining part of the original structure of the wood, but the porosity and specific surface area are increased.

 Flue gas treatment: during the carbonization process, the flue gas generated is discharged after treatment (such as cooling, purification, etc.) to reduce pollution to the environment. At the same time, part of the flue gas can also be recycled to improve energy efficiency.
