With the increasing demand for natural and eco-friendly shisha charcoal in the global market, a biomass carbonization project in Turkey was successfully developed to convert agricultural waste such as fruit shells into high-quality charcoal materials for shisha charcoal production.
Turkey has abundant agricultural resources, including olive pits, fruit shells, and other biomass residues. Instead of being discarded or burned directly, these biomass wastes can be transformed into valuable carbon products through advanced continuous carbonization technology. Fruit shell charcoal is widely recognized as a suitable raw material for shisha charcoal due to its high fixed carbon content, stable combustion performance, and low ash characteristics.

For this project, the biomass carbonization system adopts a continuous carbonization machine with a low-oxygen high-temperature process, enabling efficient conversion of fruit shells into clean charcoal. The complete production process includes feeding, continuous carbonization, cooling, crushing, mixing, briquette forming, and drying, providing a complete solution from biomass waste to finished shisha charcoal products. The produced charcoal powder can be further processed into different shapes of shisha charcoal briquettes according to customer requirements, including cube, tablet, and customized shapes. The final products feature long burning time, stable heat release, low smoke, and environmentally friendly characteristics, making them suitable for shisha lounges, charcoal distributors, and international export markets.
By introducing biomass carbonization technology, this Turkey project not only improves the utilization value of agricultural waste but also creates a sustainable charcoal production model. The solution helps customers reduce dependence on traditional charcoal resources while supporting the development of renewable biomass energy and circular economy.
