Recently, our Croton shell carbonization project in Kenya was successfully installed and put into operation. The project is designed to convert locally available Croton shells, an agricultural biomass resource, into valuable carbonized products through an efficient thermal carbonization process.
Croton shells can be generated in large quantities during agricultural processing and may become a waste management challenge if not properly utilized. By introducing biomass carbonization technology, the customer can transform these shells into useful charcoal or biochar while improving the overall value of the biomass resource.
Before carbonization, the Croton shells are properly prepared to achieve suitable feeding and processing conditions. The material is then heated under controlled temperatures inside the carbonization system, allowing organic components to be converted into stable carbon-rich products.
The combustible gas generated during carbonization can be recycled as a heat source, helping improve energy utilization and reduce external fuel consumption. The finished Croton shell charcoal can be further used for industrial fuel, BBQ charcoal, soil improvement, or other carbon-based applications.
The successful operation of this Kenya project demonstrates a practical solution for Croton shell waste utilization and showcases our experience in providing biomass carbonization solutions for agricultural waste recycling projects.
